Entry is $10 per Nevada-plated vehicle and $15 for out-of-state plates with the 300-space parking lot closing to new entries by 9:30 AM on summer weekends from June through August. The beach area has an ADA-accessible boardwalk and viewing platform with accessible restrooms at the main parking lot. Winter visitors from November through March must carry tire chains as Nevada law requires chains on all vehicles without 4-wheel drive on the Mount Rose Highway approach and the park road may close entirely during heavy snowfall.
